SAIS addresses the needs of students through the implementation of a comprehensive learning support program that targets literacy and numeracy. Students who are identified as at-risk, and those deemed to require special attention, have their progress monitored and receive increasingly intense-multi-tiered interventions. Learning support teachers are specialists in the well-being of children on a social, emotional, and academic level, and they provide high quality instruction and interventions, which are tailored to reflect students’ individual interests, styles, and needs.
